Jacquie has been singing since she was in her early teens.  She was involved in choral singing and sang solo's opening for the Victoria Police Choir and other local bands.  She studied under Catherine Young at the Victoria Conservatory of Music.  At Vancouver Community College she studied classical voice with Dr. Jacob Hamm where she had many opportunities to perform with other singers and actors.  Jacquie completed a Degree of Music Therapy from Capilano College.  She went on to work in a variety of settings using her voice as a healing modality.  She also began to teach music and particularly singing and ear training to children in a number of community centre's in Vancouver.   After relocating to the island, she continued teaching music as a Kindermusik educator at the Musicalia studio in Oak Bay.

When Jacquie isn't singing to her daughters as a homeschooling parent she can be heard singing with Encore Women's  Choir.  Jacquie is excited about collaborating with other expressive arts performers and teachers at Adage this year.
